“Reclaimed: Redesigned and Radiant”

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."

—”A Journey of Rediscovery and Radiance in Christ's Love"

Welcome back to our "Reclaimed" Daily Journal Series. Today, we're digging even deeper into the extraordinary journey of being "redesigned" together. Imagine it like a day out with my girls and me, wandering through the enchanting aisles of an antique store. Just like how we discover unique pieces of hidden treasure or transform old, worn-out jewelry into something fresh and exciting, your journey to becoming a "redesigned" Christian is an exciting adventure.

It's an interesting thought, isn't it? Often, when we've already visited our third store of the day, the girls are gasping for air, and my sweet husband has tested the limits of his patience, that's when I stumble upon that last hidden "isle" in that grand “junk” store. Hidden beneath the layers of dust, under heavy buildups and stacks of items, is where I find the ugliest, oldest, most worn-out piece. I can't help but see those pieces as a reflection of us in our "before" state. We were tired, worn out, and never really thinking that today might be the day when the transformation begins.

But much like those old, forgotten treasures, when we are "reclaimed," our old selves are then "redesigned" into cherished individuals who bring a captivating new purpose to the world through Christ, together.

When we embrace our redesigned selves, we unearth a deeper connection with God. It's like polishing up the hidden gems buried under the rubble in that antique store. "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me."- Psalm 51:10. Through prayer, meditation, and reading the Scriptures, we too have the tools to redesign our spiritual life. By gaining a deeper connection with God and communicating with Him daily, we can find comfort in His guidance and draw strength from His wisdom. We can become more patient, empathetic, and understanding. Life's challenges become easier to face because we're not doing it alone.

Ladies, your transformation isn't just about you; it impacts your interactions with others too. Think of it as reshaping something old into something beautiful, just like those hidden gems in the antique store. "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." - 1 Peter 4:8. You're becoming a source of kindness and compassion. You're called to love and support others, treating each other with grace and empathy. Together, you make the world a better place, one act of love at a time.

Much like the repurposing that once old item, for a fresh, exciting purpose, that's what your future looks like as a "redesigned" Christian. Your faith gives you a new perspective on what God’s purpose and meaning for your life is. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." - Jeremiah 29:11. Your future isn't just about your own plans; it's about embracing God's unique design for you. You trust in His guidance, knowing that your path is being lovingly redesigned to fit His perfect plan. You have faith in the beautifully orchestrated future that awaits you, crafted by the hands of your Creator.

In conclusion, being a "redesigned" Christian is an awe-inspiring journey of transformation. You are refurbished, reshaped, and reimagined through your daily walk with God, your connections with all of those around you, and your unwavering faith in the redemptive power of Christ. So, embrace this journey of rediscovery and find joy in being a "redesigned" Christian. Always remember, your past is redeemed, your present is meaningful, and your future is lovingly designed by the hands of your Creator, just for us.
